Ariel Cepero, PMHNP-BC, is a board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner (PMHNP) dedicated to providing compassionate, evidence-based mental health care for adults and adolescents. With a holistic approach that considers the biological, psychological, and social aspects of well-being, Ariel partners with patients to promote healing and long-term mental wellness.
Before transitioning into psychiatry, Ariel had worked in critical care for over 15 years as a registered nurse in intensive care units (ICUs). This experience has shaped his calm, focused, and empathetic approach to treating patients, especially those facing complex or high-stress health challenges.
Ariel is a graduate of the Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner master’s program at Walden University. He also holds a bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences from Wayne State University and an associate degree in Nursing from Miami Dade College. With a strong academic foundation and over 15 years of clinical experience- including extensive work in critical care, Ariel is skilled in both medication management and psychotherapy. He is deeply committed to empowering patients through education, empathy, and respect. Ariel has particular expertise in treating mood disorders, anxiety, trauma-related conditions, and ADHD. He is currently specializing in ketamine and Spravato® (esketamine) treatments for treatment-resistant depression, offering innovative, science-backed options for individuals who have not responded to traditional therapies.
Ariel stays current with the latest advancements in psychiatry through ongoing professional development and is passionate about mental health advocacy. He strives to create a safe, inclusive, and supportive space where all individuals feel heard, respected, and cared for.
